Be Set Apart
In this world full of ungodly norms, where “Everybody is doing it, it's normal, that's ok” kind of mindset exist, may we be reminded that we are called to be set apart as it is written in Deuteronomy 14:2 “You have been set apart as holy to the LORD your God, and he has chosen you from all the nations of the earth to be his own special treasure.”
It is easier to go with the flow where this world is leading us, but may we find strength in the Lord to actually break the norm and go against the flow. As God told us in Isaiah 55:8-9 “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways. As the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways And My thoughts than your thoughts”. I pray that we keep in heart that we who chose to believe in Christ Jesus are set apart and hence we are not living solely for the purpose of the present times but for the eternal life to come.
And yes, I am in no position to claim that I have perfected it or that I never committed mistakes, and as like you my fellow believer, I’m also a human who gets shaken from time to time. And this as well is a reminder for me to walk against the norm of the world and to live the life that glorifies God, to put my faith and strength in Him that I will be able to say NO to what is not from Him as it is written in Deuteronomy 31:6 “Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the LORD your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.”
Let us all be comforted by the unconditional Grace of God that is always available for us. To God be all the praise and glory. ♥
